With the Apple iPhone, you have the ability to access your email from any account, at any time. In addition to adding your personal email accounts to an iPhone device, you can also add your work email accounts to the device, given that you have obtained the correct server settings from your email provider. METHOD 1 OF 2: ADDING AN EMAIL ACCOUNT

ACCESS THE MAIL FOLDER ON YOUR IPHONE. This procedure will vary slightly depending on whether you are setting up email on the device for the first time, or adding another email account to your device.
Tap the Mail icon from the home screen of your iPhone if this is your first time setting up email on the device.
If you are adding another email account to your iPhone, tap "Settings," then tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars," and select "Add Account."

ADD YOUR LOGIN DETAILS FOR THE NEW EMAIL ACCOUNT.
Tap on the name of your email client from the list of options provided, or tap "Other" to manually set up and configure your email account.
Enter your email account information at the prompts. You will be prompted for your account username, password, and a description for the email account.

CONFIGURE YOUR INCOMING AND OUTGOING SERVER SETTINGS. This step is only to be followed if you chose "Other" from the list of email providers. If your email client was already in the list of options provided, you will not be required to configure these settings.
Enter your email provider's host name, then enter your email login information next to the "User Name" and "Password" fields respectively. In some cases, you may also be required to enter the incoming and outgoing server port numbers and SSL capabilities.
Consult with your email provider or Internet service provider to obtain the incoming and outgoing server settings if you are unsure of the information to enter.

FINISH ADDING YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT.
Click on the "Next" button after you have finished entering your email account information into the device. You will now be able to access your email account from your iPhone.
METHOD 2 OF 2: MANAGING AND CONFIGURING EMAIL PREFERENCES

ACCESS YOUR EMAIL SETTINGS. The email settings menu will allow you to choose preferences in regards to sending and receiving email.
Tap the "Mail" icon from the main screen of your iPhone, then scroll down to the section below the list of your email accounts to access your email settings.

MANAGE YOUR EMAIL MESSAGE SETTINGS. These settings will allow you to choose the frequency at which you want the server to check for new emails, as well as manage various inbox settings.
Tap on "Auto-Check" to set the frequency at which you want the server to check for incoming emails. You can choose to have your email updated every 15 minutes, every 30 minutes, every hour, or manually.
Tap on "Show" to inform your email client of the number of email messages you want uploaded from the server every time your email account is accessed by the iPhone.

MANAGE YOUR "SENDING" SETTINGS. The settings within this category will allow you to create an email signature, select a default email account from which to send messages, and choose whether or not you want to save copies of emails you send.
Tap on "Signature" to enter text that you want to appear at the bottom of every email you send from your iPhone device.
Tap on "Default Account" to choose the email account that you want your iPhone to use each time you compose and send a message. For example, if you only want personal emails sent from your iPhone, verify that your personal email account is selected for the default account, instead of your work email account.
